  • Rescheduling and/or Canceling

Please note that Lori has a 48 hour cancellation policy.

All appointments rescheduled and/or cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged the full fee. The only time I will waive this fee is in the event of a serious illness or an emergency. More than three cancellations in a relatively short time frame leave a client subject to termination.

$300/55 Minute Individual session

$400/75-90 Minute Individual session

  • Insurance, Payment Options and Invoices

  • In-Network with Aetna, Cigna, United Health Care, BCBS, Oscar Health, and Oxford. All billing with insurance companies is done through Headway and/or Alma.

  • Please note- at this time, I no longer have INN slots available.

  • Please inquire about OON coverage.

  • Currently, I am not able to offer low sliding scale (<$150) or pro bono services to new clients as my current lower sliding scale caseload is full.

  • I am able to offer a higher leaning sliding scale option to those who are looking to work with me.

  • I offer out of network superbills at the end of the month.

  • If you cannot afford my private pay fees but you feel we are a good fit, please feel free to inquire about working out an arrangement for payment so that you and I can commit to the process while also feeling comfortable. I know how important that is and I will do my best to help you to find an affordable option.

  • I accept Zelle (Lorin.kay@gmail.com), Cash (when in person), or Checks which are mailed to my address.

  • Your fee includes:

  • treatment based texting within appropriate hours of the day.

  • Inbetween scheduled check in phone calls that are under 10 minutes.

  • email correspondence.

The rates that I have come up with are comparable to those others in my area and they allow me to offer highly specific attention and a more individualized style to each person who commits to doing this work with me.

  • Phone Calls/Texting

While you are a client, I encourage clients to call only during your scheduled sessions. Should you need anything out of the ordinary, I encourage clients to shoot me a text to set up a brief phone call to address any in-between session concerns, questions, and/or check ins.

Anything under 10 minutes is always no charge. Because I am not available round the clock, I might not be able to answer your call without us scheduling something first but please know I will get back to you at my earliest convenience.

 This is my commitment to you,

  • Writing a Report, A Treatment Summary or Letter to an Outside Party

The cost of producing a report, treatment summary, or a letter is at the discretion of this provider and is based on prep time, length, and the nature of the report, letter and/or treatment plan. Additionally, before the disclosure of information, be that verbal or written, a Release of Information Consent must be signed by the client. If the client is a minor, then the legal guardian of the client must sign the Consent Form. Any and all charges will be discussed with the client beforehand. 

  •  Advocacy and Working as an Interdisciplinary Team

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I feel it is part of my responsibility to make referrals and advocate for a client as needed (Ex; With Another Clinician, a Doctor, a school or University, a Hospital, a Residential-Inpatient program, etc.). However, should this become a recurring event, phone calls and/or meetings over 15 minutes are subject to be charged. Please note, you will be made fully aware of billing changes before any charges are applied.
