Lori Kay, LCSW

With over 14 years of therapeutic experience, I work from a relational, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed lens, integrating a range of modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Somatic Resourcing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT & RO-DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Approaches (MBSR). I specialize in working with adults, teens, couples, and families navigating relational distress, panic and mood disorders, life transitions, anxiety, grief, perfectionism, and patterns rooted in earlier attachment experiences. I also have particular specialization in working with Eating Disorders. My work is integrative and depth-oriented, with an emphasis on emotional processing and nervous system awareness.

I love doing this work and I try to live my life in the way that I practice most things - by (reluctantly) embracing mystery, remaining open to change, finding courage on the daily (if not an hourly basis), honoring my self, my intuition, my body, and trusting the journey. By doing this, I have come to find that extra ordinary things happen every day. And no matter how rough the storms, how difficult the terrain - even when I have had to backtrack - my direction and intentions remains clear.

If you are curious, there is more to this story on the next page.

with love and gratitude.
